Everywhere I ate: 48 hours in London 🎡💂🏼♂️
+ a London bakery crawl and my favorite spots & members clubs
Alright let’s debrief my super quick 3 nights in London that I tacked on to my Paris trip! I unfortunately do not have a hotel rec this time because I stayed with my best friend who lives there full time (last time I stayed at The Nomad which was lovely and the hotel was amazing but the area was a bit crowded as it is Convent Garden). My friend lives in the most gorgeous townhome I have ever seen in South Kensington, it was so perfect it made me want to pack my bags and move…
For those that do not know I studied abroad in London back in college and miss it dearly. I lived in Shoreditch which was honestly super cool and artsy of me back then so I know that area well but did not get to spend a lot of time there this time.
But I really packed in the places!
Where I ate/drank
Canteen | Notting Hill - Incredible walk-in only spot that is apparently impossible to get into except I went on a Monday at 12pm so got a seat at the bar (the best seat in the house). The rosemary pizza was so interesting and the ravioli was insane. A great lunch!
Harrods - I wanted to film a video about all the offerings at Harrods so did a huge haul which I posed HERE!
Dorian - I have been hearing about Dorian for years now so had to finally tick it off the list. The portions were SO small and expensive (even for NYC standards). I did like the steak though and the ambiance is great
Nina - Really fun/buzzy new spot from the Zephyr team. The bar and restaurant was packed and had great energy. They were sold out of a lot of the popular items but I loved the Milanese with parm butter and the truffle gnocchi. Don’t skip the dessert!
Bao - I have loved Bao since my abroad days it is always on my list even if its the to-go window one at Borough Market
Borough Market - You can watch my video of everything to eat HERE!
Red Room at The Connaught - My favorite hotel with the best cocktail bar. I walked in for a bar seat and had the best time
ALAÏA Cafe - This was SO cute pastries and coffees on the top floor of the Alaia store
Ally Cats Pizza - I was dying to try Crisp Pizza but it was closed the nights I was there so checked out Ally Cat (theres 2 locations) and it was DELISH
Bakeries:
Layla - A must stop in Notting Hill
Kuro Bakery - Also have a bagel shop and a coffee shop next door!
Fortitude Bakehouse - Maybe my favorite of them all in a weird area but worth the trip!
Jolene - Best pain au chocolat in a fun area
Ottolenghi - Multiple locations but they have fun pastries and options
Other recs in London:
Crisp Pizza (I really wanted to go to their pop up at The Chancellors but they were closed, apparently its insane)
Sessions Art Club (for vibes not food)
Manteca (for pasta)
The River Cafe (classic spot)
Gymkhana/Ambassedors Clubhouse
Towpath (very cool looking cafe next to the river)
The Good Earth (for casual Chinese)
The Dreamery (ice cream and wine dupe of Folderol in Paris)
Hotels I didn’t stay at but I think are really cool:
Members Clubs:
Annabel’s - This is the sickest members club I have ever been to in my life. They are so strict about photos they have someone standing every 5 feet making sure you don’t snap a pick (I obviously snuck some anyway). Not to mention the club at the bottom was a crazy rave essentially. Based on the dinner I had there I expected it to be super tame and quiet but it turned into one of the craziest parties of my trip…
5 Hertford Street/Loulou's - this one was the most fun back in the day they and threw the best parties etc.
The Arts Club - Went here to see the live music in the club one night and it was also much more fun and lively than expected!
Maison Estelle - I have not been here yet but my friends that live there are members and say the club is really fun with lots of young people. Also connected to the Estelle Manor which is the coolest countryside getaway
The Twenty Two - Same as the above basically (don’t forget to have a cookie)
