Chew on this: the hottest opening intel, members clubs, and a restaurant I hated 👀

Lets do a little run down of where I am eating in NYC right now, the openings I have my eye on and the latest members club updates 🍸

Chew on this:

• Zimmis, the hot girl approved French spot that I just visited and enjoyed a $288 steak at, is eventually getting a wine bar and bakery next door! Big news for the west villagers

• More Thisbowl and Pura Vida expansions! Why does it feel like they are both opening in all the same places? Thisbowl will be at 230 5th Ave on 27th (legit across the street from Pura Vida’s first NYC location). Pura Vida is also expanding to Brooklyn at 25 Kent on 1/24!

• All my Miami people! Skinny Louie, Miami’s favorite smash burger spot is opening at 1145 Broadway in May/June 🍔

• Crispy Heaven, previously located in Tribeca and known for the egg and bread boards just opened their new location at 222 Lafayette street. It’s walk in only (I waited around 15-20 mins on a Saturday at 1pm) and everything was delicious. Get the egg plate and the French toast!

  

• If you are gonna go to The Snail the new restaurant from Hogsalt hospitality’s ex-culinary director go EARLY. It gets crazy packed inside while you wait as well. But the fries, burger and desserts are worth it for sure

• Maxie’s Noodle the famous flushing noodle shop was named the #1 Chinese restaurant in the US by yelp and just opened a 3rd location in Chinatown (I just checked it out)

• Residence of Mr. Moto (not to be confused with their original speakeasy Office of Mr. Moto) just opened as a more casual concept with kaisen-don in Brooklyn. If you aren’t into the intense omakase vibe at Office of Mr. Moto this seems like a better bet and the bowls look sick!

• Wegmans on Astor Place will open a sushi restaurant next door which will be called… drum roll please… Wegmans Next Door. Very literal. If you want a sneak peak of what they have in store check out the IG for their other location in Rochester! Its rumored to open late April 🍣

• Another location of Golden Diner (famous for those honey butter pancakes) will be opening at 16 West 48th in Rockefeller center. It will be called Golden HOF and will also have a second restaurant next door called NY Kimchi which will be a Korean steakhouse and raw bar (this sounds like it will be sick!) It’s rumored to be opening 2/25

• The Four Horseman team is working on a new spot in the spring called Il Cavallini

• Kid Pizza quietly opened in Chelsea this week from the Motel Morris team

• Ernesto’s (one of my favorite Basque restaurants/wine bars) is opening a new Spanish spot in the West Village this April/May called Barloto

• French restaurant Libertine is opening a 2nd spot called La Royale at 205 Thompson street this spring 🥐🇫🇷🥖

• Dame and Lords 3rd restaurant is almost here and it’s called Crevete. It will be primarily seafood and “not entirely British” 🇬🇧 The decor looks divine and so does the raw bar. Opening February 4th (they already released reservations but set your notify)
